Welcome Scoutmasters

Greetings Scoutmasters and Scout Leaders,

Nacha Nimat Lodge is honored to cheerfully serve the scouts and scouters of the Hudson Valley Council.

Some of the services we provide have been:

  • Service Projects at both Nooteeming and Bullowa camps on three work weekends a year.
  • Serving the Council Camping Committee to promote camping.
  • Conducting Arrow of Light, Webelos, and Crossover Ceremonies for  Cub packs.
  • Lodge Dance Team performances all around Council.
  • Hosting and assisting Camporees for our Districts.
  • Provide leadership opportunities and training for our youth.
  • Conducting elections for your units so your troop can choose and recognize individuals to be part of Scouting’s National Honor Society.
  • Service with a smile :-)

All of the cheerful service we have accomplished is due to the support from our units, which is YOU! We thank you for your continued support. We look forward to developing our lodge leadership to better support our council and your troop and we are asking that for all units to please contact us so that we can schedule your next OA visitation or Unit Election to elect new candidates. Please encourage your OA members to wear their sashes on OA day at summer camp this year.

Each district in our council is served by a Order of the Arrow chapter. If you have any questions, or would like to arrainge an election in your unit, feel free to contact the Chapter Chief and advisers who will be glad to help you.

The full list of Lodge and chapter officers can be found on our Officer's Page.

We hope that all of you have a wonderful experience at summer camp and continue to promote the Order of the Arrow

Brotherhood Honor

Scoutmasters,

Many of your Scouts and Scouters have entered into the Order of the Arrow, however very few have continued their journey and reaffirmed the membership by achieving the Brotherhood Honor.

We understand that many of your troop calendars and events have already been planned for this year. However, We are asking you to take some time to consider encouraging the Ordeal members of your troop to reaffirm their comittment to service at the Lodge Banquet in January, the Spring Ordeals in April and June, the Lodge Fellowship weekend in October, or the Fall Ordeal in September.

In order to be eligible to convert to the Brotherhood Honor, an Ordeal member must have been in the Order for at least ten months. All arrowmen who have served your troop faithfully are eligible to take part in this opportunity.

If you have any questions about the Brotherhood Honor, please feel free to contact the Lodge at the email address below. We would be more than happy to provide additional information regarding the Order.

We appreciate your commitment to the youth of your unit, and encourage you to take advantage of the service and fellowship of the Order to enhance your troop program.

An arrowman’s first service is to his troop, without you there would be no Order.
