Dear All Fellow Lodge Brothers,

The Nacha Nimat Lodge certainly has its hands full this Spring with many fun and exciting events right around the corner! Our main focus this year is to get the word out to all the Nacha Nimat Lodge Brothers on what is happening now with the new events, activities, and more! I strongly urge all of you as members of this Lodge to promote our events and activities out there to those who may not be as active as they can be. This is crucial to our Lodge so that we can hold more events and more importantly, extend these opportunities to other Scouts and Scouters through the Nacha Nimat Lodge and Hudson Valley Council.

So please, spread the word about all these lodge events so that everyone has the chance to enjoy the exciting, fellowship-filled activities that the Nacha Nimat Lodge has to offer. Please keep up to date with the Council and Lodge websites for news and upcoming event information. The websites are:

And finally, I would like to thank you all for your support to Scouting as well as the Order of the Arrow and to say that this is all only possible because of all the hard work of the Scouts and Scouters for the past 100 years.

“A SPRING FULL OF FELLOWSHIP!”

This Spring, Nacha Nimat Lodge is holding several events. First, our Spring Ordeal will be held on April 30th-May 2nd at Camp Nooteeming. This event will be an Ordeal Weekend, a Brotherhood Conversion Weekend, and a fellowship opportunity. It is open to all Order of the Arrow members. The registration fee is $20 and includes all meals and accommodations for the weekend. Online registration can be found on the Council Website.

Next, our Conclave-Prep weekend will be held from June 4th-6th at Camp Ranachqua. This event will have Brotherhood Conversion, however there will not be an Ordeal Weekend. The main goal for this service weekend will be to prepare the camp for the 2010 Section NE-7B Conclave hosted by our Lodge! The registration fee is $15. The 2010 Section Conclave is open to all Order of the Arrow members and is a weekend-long event with various different fun and fellowship activities.

There are training sessions Saturday morning, competitions and activities in the afternoon, and a themed closing show to end the day. This is a rare occasion when our Lodge will be able to host a Conclave, not to mention that we will also be hosting it while celebrating the Centennial of the BSA. A chance to host a Conclave only comes around every 7 years, so let’s make the most of it! Registration information will be released shortly on the Section Website: www.ne7b.org.

Yours in WWW,
Andrew Klock
Lodge Chief
